What is Rally for Youth?
Rally for Youth is the social tennis challenge of the year! Over 12 hours, teams of 4 will compete in a 3-hour match of Team Doubles to raise vital funds and awareness for Lighthouse Foundation, making a difference to the lives of children and young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Where is this event being held?
Royal South Yarra Lawn Tennis Club, 310 Williams Rd N, Toorak VIC 3142.
When is the event?
Saturday 2nd December 2023.
At what time?
Limited 3-hour time slots available between 7:30am-7:30pm. Team Captains can select a time slot when registering. Get in quick to secure your preferred time!
Who can participate?
Team captains of RSYLTC must be a member in order to register and play. They can sign up 3 non-member guests or combine other members from their club into their team. Children can also play!

Is there a registration fee?
No, it’s free to register. We just ask that you reach out to your family, friends and colleagues and ask them to sponsor you to raise as much as you can for Lighthouse Foundation. Your efforts will help Lighthouse to support vulnerable young people who have been impacted by abuse, neglect and trauma, to heal and thrive.
How do I fundraise?
As part of the registration process, a unique fundraising page will be created for your team. All you need to do is share the URL or downloadable social media tiles to ask your supporters to donate.
The Cause
Where does my fundraising money go?
The funds you raise by participating in the Rally for Youth will go directly to Lighthouse Foundation, to help fund our programs which give kids experiencing homelessness or trauma, the support they need to heal, grow, and achieve a lifelong sense of belonging.
Are donations tax deductible?
Yes, all donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.
Are there any rewards for fundraising?
Yes! Lighthouse Foundation is incredibly grateful for your generous support and that of your sponsors. Check out the rewards available for your team if you hit your fundraising goals!
On The Day
Do I need to bring Tennis Balls?
Tennis balls will be provided on the day.
What is the competition format?

Who will my team be playing against?
Clubs will designate teams to play against each other, based on factors such as known friendship groups, age and skill level.
How will the club know my skill level?
As part of the team registration process, the Team Leader will select from one of three categories that best describe the overall skill level of the team. Choose from:

- Entering the Open. The crème de la crème of your club, your match is one to watch. It’s going to get competitive, but it’s all for a great cause!

Does our team have to play tennis for the whole 3 hours?
The match format is based on a rotating team doubles challenge where each game is timed to 30 minutes. The Rally for Youth has been designed so that all players will have a chance to rest in between games, and your loved ones are sponsoring you to complete the challenge so we strongly encourage you to see it through. However, if both teams decide they don’t want to continue, you are more than welcome to head up to the club rooms early for a refreshing drink!
Can I purchase apparel to wear on the day?
Yes! Click here to see the range of Lighthouse Foundation and Rally for Youth merchandise available for sale. All proceeds go to Lighthouse Foundation. There will also be some items available for purchase on the day. *Strictly while stocks last. We recommend pre-ordering online for collection on the day, to avoid disappointment.
